Buenas Familia! / Dear Friends! (English version below):

Como la mayoría sabéis, entre finales de 2019 y principios de 2020, viví en Colombia quizás la etapa más diferente y reveladora de mis hoy 29 años. Allí pasé 8 meses llenos de aprendizajes y pude conocer de primera mano la desigualdad en el país y las muchas virtudes de sus lugares y su gente. Allí, trabajé mano a mano con diferentes comunidades y me dieron la oportunidad de crecer un pasito más como persona. Hoy más de un año después, tengo más claro que nunca que en la vida lo más importante es ser agradecido con quien te ofreció su energía y no olvidar el pasado por muy rápido que corra el presente. De esta manera, os presento aquí LOS 3 PROYECTOS con los que pude colaborar y que hoy más que nunca necesitan de la solidaridad y el apoyo para seguir desarrollándose y creciendo. Y os presento los 3 porque elegir sólo uno de ellos para esta iniciativa sería como elegir entre papá y mamá (o mucho peor aún, como elegir entre viajar a un país del mundo y no a otro jaja).

Os explico rápidamente el funcionamiento: 1 sola donación vuestra contribuye a 3 causas en 3 rincones diferentes de Colombia. Lo obtenido como total se dividirá en tres partes (por eso es tan importante que la cifra sea lo más relevante posible), y el 100% de vuestras donaciones llegarán a aquellos lugares, SIN INTERMEDIARIOS. Así pues, se os enviará a cada uno y cada una de vosotras foto del recibo y vídeo/entrevista con los protagonistas que demuestran dicha llegada de dinero. Sin más dilación, os presento las 3 causas!

PRIMERA CAUSA!





En mi primera vez en Medellín (Colombia), pasé la mayor parte trabajando con la Corporación Convivamos en las Comunas 1 y 3 de la zona Nororiental. Se trata de una ONG afianzada en el territorio y reconocida por las comunidades, pero aunque su trabajo no cesa, la Cooperación Internacional al Desarrollo atraviesa momentos difíciles. Con ellos, ayudé a construir un acueducto comunitario porque en pleno siglo XXI todavía hay barrios en el mundo que no disponen de agua potable y en condiciones (ver el vídeo). Aún me acuerdo de cómo me chocó al principio que tuviéramos que hervir el agua para poder mezclarla con el café con el que observábamos la ciudad desde los más barrios más altos y olvidados de Medellín. Aquéllos que, sin embargo, lucen orgullo en las miradas y trabajan más que nadie mano a mano con el apoyo de Convivamos para fortalecer la identidad colectiva y sacar adelante a sus familias. Cinco meses trabajamos juntos, y aprendí desde a hacer cemento hasta como hacer llegar las propuestas a las Instituciones a base de mente y alma con el maravilloso equipo de Convi.

Ahora han creado este fabuloso proyecto para que desde cualquier parte del mundo podamos ayudar económicamente a las familias de las Comunas 1 y 3. AMADRINA UNA FAMILIA!!

SEGUNDA CAUSA!



En las comunas 1 y 3 trabajé, y en la comuna 4 tuve la oportunidad de vivir, dormir y compartir mis cinco meses de vida en Medellín. Allí me acogió la organización más joven que conozco, y no por experiencia sino por años de edad. Los componentes de la Corporación IFT (la que aparece en el vídeo de presentación), pese a su juventud, demuestran tener mucha experiencia en la solidaridad y el apoyo a su barrio. Otro barrio, éste, en que los más jóvenes necesitan de oportunidades que les permitan estudiar y escapar de los contextos problemáticos. De ello se encarga IFT, a la que pude apoyar en su trabajo durante mis tardes y findes libres y con la que aprendí que incluso sin demasiados recursos económicos también se puede construir alrededor. El dinero en este caso iría destinado a su principal proyecto: el Colaboratorio de Niñez, a través del cual dan voz a los niños, niñas y adolescentes de la Comuna 4 para reivindicar sus derechos y se canaliza su energía hacia actividades culturales y artísticas que les alejen de los duros contextos que se viven en el barrio (+ info en el vídeo de portada).

TERCERA CAUSA!




Seguro que habéis escuchado más de una vez eso de que las comunidades indígenas están sosteniendo nuestro Planeta, a que sí? PUES TENGO LA PRUEBA Y VENGO A CONTÁROSLA!

A la comunidad de La Ceiba (bonito nombre!) llegó un profesor de biología de visita para conocer de cerca las asombrosas ABEJAS SIN AGUIJÓN que existen en aquélla parte del Amazonas, pero se dio cuenta de que la población local, por el desconocimiento de quienes no somos biólogos, no estaba aprovechando el ¡GRAN POTENCIAL QUE TENÍA! Así pues, enseñó a la comunidad a cultivar estas abejas sin dañar los árboles en que depositaban sus colmenas y les regaló varias cajas de madera que con sus tres pisos distintos simulan las colmenas. Desde entonces, la comunidad de La Ceiba se ha convertido en la primera comunidad indígena en Colombia en aprender sobre el cuidado y el manejo de estas curiosas abejas y ya está vendiendo ¡SU PROPIA MIEL 100% NATURAL!

Con ello, no solamente están ayudando a nuestro Planeta falto de abejas multiplicando el número de ellas cada año, sino que además consiguen generar ingresos para la comunidad, de modo que los niños puedan ir a estudiar a la ciudad más cercana que está a 3 horas por río de distancia. Con ellos viví otros tres meses, y les debo una gran parte de lo que soy hoy. Con esta donación, estariáis financiando la compra de nuevas cajas para construir colmenas respetuosas con la Naturaleza que puedan seguir aumentando la producción y multiplicando las abejas que polinizan la selva. QUE VIVAN LAS ABEJAS!!!!!!!!

DEAR FRIENDS AROUND THE WORLD,

As some of you already know, between the end of 2019 and the first months of 2020, I spent my time in Colombia and lived probably the most different and enlightening step in my 29 years old. There were 8 months full of learnings and I had the chance to meet in first person the inequality of the región and the many strenghts of its people and landscapes. There, I worked together with different communities and they gave me the opportunity to grow more than ever as a person. Today, more tan a year later, I am pretty sure that the most important in life is to be grateful with whom offered to you their energy and to not forget the paste even if the present runs fast. Therefore, I am bringing here the 3 projects which I collaborated with cause they need in this times more tan ever OUR SOLIDARITY to keep growing and developing. That’s because I could not choose just one of them like we cannot choose between mom and dad (or even worst, between a country or another one haha).

 

SO, THE FUNCTIONNING IS: your 1 Donation contributes to 3 Causes in 3 different places of Colombia. FIRST CAUSE!



In my first time in Medellin (Colombia), I spent the most of the time working with the NGO Corporación Convivamos in the Communes 1 and 3 of the ‘Nororiental’ área. It is a recognized NGO in that territory and has 30 years of experience with those communities, but this times of pandemic are not good in financial and International Cooperation terms. Together with them, we built a Community Aqueduct cause still in the 21st Century there are neighborhoods in the world that have NOT DRINKABLE WATER in a such a big city. I still remember how made me shocked the fact that we had to boil the water to mix it with the coffee, that we drunk while contemplating the city from the forgotten and marginalized houses on the top of Medellin. Also, they have many projects to give legal tools to the community in order to fight themselves for the legalisation of the informal neighborhoods, raised up by people who had to flee their villages, years ago, because of the Colombian conflict and arrived to the city to start from zero.

Now, a very exciting initiative has been built up so people from different corners of the world have the opportunity to help economically the families of the Communes 1 and 3 so they can keep working on their own empowerment. SPONSOR A FAMILY WITH YOUR DONATION!

SECOND CAUSE!



The rest of the time in Medellin I had the chance to share and live together with the second organization that I bring today here: Corporación IFT (the one in the presentation video!). Then, I was hosted by this NGO which is compodes basically by young people like me who give their time and energy on educating and empowering the children of the Commune number 4. Despite their  youth, they are plenty of experience in that field and I could see that by working with them during my free afternoons and weekends. They are dreamers and they make reality thoe dreams, that’s absolutely what we need in this Planet. In this case, the destination of the fund would go to one of their main projects: ‘EL COLABORATORIO DE NIÑEZ’’, through which they GIVE CHILDREN A VOICE to claim for their rights by making videos and sending them to the institutions and thus, they stay away from drugs and other risks of their problematic context.

THIRD CAUSE!




Fors ure, you have listenned before the point that indigenous communities are saving the Planet by taking care of the forest. Then, I HAVE THE PROOF AND COME HERE TO TELL YOU ABOUT!

So, years ago, an investigator on Biology went to visit the indigenous community of LA CEIBA in COLOMBIA to know more about the STINGLESS BEES OF THE AMAZONAS and he realized that locals were not taking advantage of the ¡GREAT POTENTIAL THAT THEY HAD! Thus, he taugh them how to cultivate those bees so they could reach a double profit: on the one hand, they could sell that really special and unique honey from the stingless bees; on the other hand, they could hel the Planet by multiplying the bees in the Amazonas and reforesting the forest! Then, since that moment, the community of La Ceiba has become the first indigenous community in Colombia which is cultivating those autocthonous kind of bees and they are selling their own ¡100% NATURAL HONEY! This way, children can start to go to the school (it is very expensive to go fby river from the community by to the nearest city every day) and families can earn their livelihood. Together with them, I spent three months and experienced a way of live that changed my mind and my soul.

The money here would be destinated to the purchase of new materials to keep increasing the production of honey (it is very small yet) and keep helping the Planet.
